Banana Bread Cinnamon Rolls (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Dough

01 - 1 cup mashed banana (grab about 2 or 3 medium bananas)
02 - 4 cups all-purpose flour
03 - 1 teaspoon salt
04 - 2 large eggs
05 - 1/2 cup melted unsalted butter
06 - 1/2 cup granulated sugar
07 - 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
08 - 1 cup warm milk

→ Filling

09 - 1/2 cup chopped walnuts (toss these in if you like)
10 - 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
11 - 1 cup brown sugar
12 - 1/2 cup unsalted butter, let it soften

→ Icing

13 - 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
14 - 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
15 - 1/4 cup unsalted butter, let it get soft
16 - 4 oz cream cheese, room temp is best

# Instructions:

01 - Toss cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla into a bowl. Beat them all together till you get a creamy texture. Smear the icing on the rolls while they're still warm.
02 - Slide the dish in the oven and bake about 25 to 30 minutes. They should look nicely golden and the tops should be just a tad crisp.
03 - Cover the pan and let the dough puff up for half an hour. While you wait, get your oven set to 350°F (175°C).
04 - Once it's rolled up tight from the long side, slice the log into a dozen pieces. Drop them into a greased pan, cut side up.
05 - Dust some flour on your counter and roll the dough out into a big rectangle — about 20x14 inches. Slather on your filling, then scatter walnuts over top if you’re feeling it.
06 - Just mix soft butter with cinnamon and brown sugar in a bowl. That’s it. Stir till it’s spreadable.
07 - Take the dough and throw it into a greased bowl. Put a cover on and keep it somewhere warm for about an hour, letting it grow to twice the size.
08 - Little by little, add flour while stirring so dough clumps up nicely. Move it to a floured spot and knead by hand for around 10 minutes.
09 - Toss mashed bananas, salt, eggs, and melted butter into the yeast mix. Give everything a really good stir.
10 - Pour warm milk, yeast, and sugar together in a big bowl. Let it chill for about five minutes — it should get foamy on top.
