# Ingredients:

01 - 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
02 - 1 cup granulated sugar
03 - ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
04 - 1 cup milk

09 - 4 cups cornflakes

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking pan.
02 - In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt until combined.
03 - In another bowl, cream the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
04 - Beat in the eggs, one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract until fully incorporated.
05 - Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with the milk. Mix until just combined and smooth.
06 - In a medium bowl, mix the cornflakes with brown sugar and cinnamon, ensuring the flakes are well-coated.
07 - Pour the cake batter into the prepared baking pan, smoothing the top with a spatula.
08 - Evenly sprinkle the cornflake mixture over the cake batter, pressing down gently to adhere.
09 - Place in the oven and bake for 25-30 minutes. The cake is done when a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
10 - Remove the cake from the oven and allow it to cool in the pan for about 15 minutes. Then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
