01 - ½ cup butter, melted (1 stick or 4 ounces)
02 - ¾ cup brown sugar
03 - ¼ cup sugar
04 - 1 egg
05 - 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

→ Dry Ingredients

06 - 1 ⅓ cups flour
07 - ½ teaspoon baking soda
08 - ¼ teaspoon salt

→ Mix-ins

09 - ½ cup chocolate chips
10 - ¾ cup chocolate candies, divided (e.g., Easter M&M's and mini Cadbury eggs)

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat the oven to 350ºF. Spray a 9-inch pie plate with non-stick cooking spray and set aside.
02 - Melt the butter in a large, microwave-safe bowl. Mix in the sugars, then the vanilla extract. Stir in the egg until well combined.
03 - In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, stirring just until combined.
04 - Fold in the chocolate chips and ½ cup of the chocolate candies. Reserve the remaining candies for garnish.
05 - Scrape the dough into the prepared pie plate, smoothing the top with an offset spatula. Bake for 25 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
06 - Remove the cookie cake from the oven and gently press the remaining candies onto the surface while it's still hot. Allow the cookie cake to cool before slicing and serving.
