Garlic Butter Shrimp Scampi Lasagna (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Lasagna

01 - 1 box lasagna noodles
02 - 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
03 - 4 cloves garlic, minced
04 - 1/2 cup unsalted butter
05 - 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
06 - 2 cups whole milk
07 - 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
08 - 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
09 - 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
10 - Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

→ Garlic Butter Sauce

11 - 1/2 cup unsalted butter
12 - 4 cloves garlic, minced
13 - 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
14 - 1 tablespoon lemon juice
15 - Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

# Instructions:

01 - Cook lasagna noodles in a large pot of salted boiling water according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
02 - In a large skillet, melt 1/2 cup butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1–2 minutes. Add shrimp and cook until pink and opaque, about 2–3 minutes per side. Transfer cooked shrimp to a plate and reserve.
03 - In the same skillet, melt 1/2 cup butter. Add minced garlic and cook until aromatic, around 1–2 minutes.
04 - Add all-purpose flour and cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly, until well incorporated.
05 - Gradually whisk in milk, ensuring the mixture stays smooth. Cook, stirring continuously, until the sauce thickens. Remove from heat and stir in grated Parmesan until fully melted. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
06 - Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
07 - Spread a thin layer of garlic butter sauce in the bottom of a large baking dish. Add a layer of lasagna noodles, followed by another layer of sauce, cooked shrimp, and a sprinkle of mozzarella. Repeat these layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with sauce and mozzarella on top.
08 - Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is golden and bubbling.
09 - Remove from the oven and allow to cool for several minutes. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

01 - For convenience, no-boil lasagna noodles may be used and layered without pre-cooking.
02 - A pinch of red pepper flakes may be added to the garlic butter for extra flavor and subtle heat.
