# Ingredients:

01 - 40 unwrapped caramels, room temperature (e.g., Werther’s soft caramel)
02 - 12 oz milk chocolate chips
03 - 1 teaspoon vegetable shortening
04 - 3/4 cup crispy rice cereal (e.g., Rice Krispies)

# Instructions:

01 - Flatten 2 caramels together into a rectangle about 1/2 inch thick. If needed, microwave them for 5 seconds to soften. Repeat with remaining caramels and set aside.
