Mini Bagel Pizzas Two Ways (Print Version)

01 - 8 mini bagels, split in half
02 - 1/4 cup butter, melted
03 - 2 teaspoons garlic, minced
04 - 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning, divided
05 - 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese, divided
06 - 1 cup marinara sauce
07 - 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
08 - 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
09 - 24 fresh basil leaves
10 - 8 ounces mozzarella cheese, sliced (about 16 slices)
11 - Optional garnishes: chopped fresh parsley, red pepper flakes

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C). Combine melted butter, garlic, 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning, and 1 tablespoon Parmesan cheese. Dip the cut sides of the bagels in the butter mixture and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Toast in the oven for 5 minutes
02 - While bagels toast, toss halved cherry tomatoes with olive oil and remaining Italian seasoning
03 - Spread marinara sauce on half of the toasted bagels. Top all bagels with mozzarella slices. On the bagels without marinara, add half of the basil and tomatoes. Sprinkle all bagels with Parmesan cheese
04 - Bake for 10 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly
05 - Top the basil and tomato pizzas with remaining basil. Garnish with parsley and red pepper flakes, if desired. Serve warm

01 - Use any type of mini bagel you prefer
02 - Customize with your favorite pizza toppings
03 - For a crispier bagel, toast longer or use higher oven temperature
04 - Dried basil can be substituted if fresh is unavailable
