Roasted Pineapple Honey Cinnamon (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Main

01 - 1 whole pineapple, peeled, cored, and sliced into spears

→ Marinade

02 - 60 ml (1/4 cup) honey
03 - 15 ml (1 tablespoon) freshly squeezed lime juice
04 - 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

→ Optional Glaze

05 - 14 g (1 tablespoon) unsalted butter, melted
06 - 13 g (1 tablespoon) granulated sugar

# Instructions:

01 - Peel the pineapple, remove the core, and cut it into uniform spears.
02 - Combine honey, lime juice, and ground cinnamon in a large zip-top bag or non-reactive container. Add pineapple spears and toss to coat thoroughly. Seal and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to overnight for deeper flavor.
03 - Adjust oven rack to the top or second-highest position. Preheat broiler on high. Line a large baking tray with aluminum foil for ease of cleanup.
04 - If desired, melt butter and stir in granulated sugar until dissolved to form a glaze.
05 - Remove marinated pineapple spears from the bag, shaking off excess marinade. Arrange spears in a single layer on the prepared tray. Brush all sides with the optional butter-sugar glaze, if using.
06 - Broil for 8–10 minutes, turning once, until the pineapple is caramelized and edges are golden. Monitor closely to prevent burning.
07 - Transfer the caramelized pineapple to a serving platter while warm. Top with additional honey or a sprinkle of cinnamon, if desired.

# Notes:

01 - Marinating the pineapple for longer enhances flavor intensity and tenderness.
02 - The optional butter-sugar glaze assists in browning and adds a subtle richness.
