Easy Thai Iced Tea (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Tea

01 - 4 cups water
02 - 4 tablespoons Thai tea mix or strong black tea
03 - 4 star anises
04 - 1 crushed cardamom pod (optional)

→ Sweetener

05 - 4 tablespoons sugar (adjust to taste)

→ Cream

06 - 1/2 cup evaporated milk, coconut milk, or half-and-half

→ Ice

07 - Ice cubes

# Instructions:

01 - Bring the water to a boil in a pot. Turn off the heat and add the Thai tea mix, star anise, and cardamom pod. Steep for 3 to 5 minutes, depending on desired strength.
02 - Stir in the sugar until completely dissolved.
03 - Strain out the tea leaves and spices, discarding the solids.
04 - Allow the tea to cool to room temperature, then refrigerate until chilled.
05 - Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the chilled tea over the ice, leaving space at the top for the milk.
06 - Slowly pour the evaporated milk, coconut milk, or half-and-half over the tea to create a distinct layer. Stir before drinking.
