# Ingredients:

Spiced Cake Base

01 - 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
02 - 1 ½ cups packed light brown sugar
03 - ½ cup granulated sugar
04 - 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
05 - 1 cup whole milk, room temperature
06 - 3 large eggs
07 - 2 tbsp ground cinnamon
08 - 1 tsp baking powder
09 - ½ tsp baking soda
10 - ½ tsp salt
11 - 2 tsp pure vanilla extract

Cinnamon Cream Cheese Frosting

12 - 8 oz cream cheese, softened
13 - ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
14 - 3 cups powdered sugar, sifted
15 - 1 tsp ground cinnamon
16 - 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
17 - 1 to 2 tbsp heavy cream, for desired consistency

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a baking pan.
02 - In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, light brown sugar, and granulated sugar until the mixture is light and fluffy, approximately 3 to 5 minutes.
03 - Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract until fully incorporated.
04 - In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cinnamon, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Alternately add dry ingredients and milk to the butter mixture, starting and ending with the dry ingredients. Mix until just combined to maintain tender crumb.
05 - Pour batter into the prepared pan and smooth the surface. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Allow to cool completely before frosting.
06 - Beat softened cream cheese and butter together until smooth. Gradually incorporate powdered sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla. Add heavy cream as needed to achieve a spreadable consistency.
07 - Generously spread or drizzle the frosting over the cooled cake. Optionally, dust with additional cinnamon before serving.

# Notes:

01 - Ensure all butter and cream cheese are softened to room temperature for smoother mixing and better texture.
