Bacon Stuffed Mushrooms (Print Version)

01 - 16-18 button or cremini mushrooms, cleaned and stems removed
02 - 5 slices bacon, cooked crispy and crumbled
03 - 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
04 - 2 cloves garlic, minced
05 - 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
06 - 2 green onions, finely chopped
07 - 1/4 cup breadcrumbs (panko or regular)
08 - 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
09 - 1/2 teaspoon paprika

# Instructions:

01 - Heat oven to 375°F. Clean mushrooms, remove stems, and finely chop the stems.
02 - Cook bacon until crispy, then crumble it. In the same pan, sauté chopped mushroom stems and garlic until soft.
03 - Combine cream cheese, Parmesan, green onions, bacon, breadcrumbs, pepper, and paprika in a bowl. Add the sautéed stems and garlic.
04 - Fill each mushroom cap generously with the bacon mixture, pressing down slightly.
05 - Place stuffed mushrooms on a baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden and bubbly.
06 - Let cool slightly before serving. Garnish with extra Parmesan and green onions if desired.

# Notes:

01 - For a lighter version, use turkey bacon and low-fat cream cheese.
02 - Try cheddar, Gruyère, or feta for a different flavor.
03 - Add chopped spinach, sun-dried tomatoes, or cayenne for extra flavor.
04 - You can assemble these a day ahead and refrigerate until ready to bake.
