Baked Pizza Pasta (Printer-Friendly Version)

# What You'll Need:

→ For the Pasta

01 - 1 pound ground beef (or Italian sausage)
02 - ½ onion, diced
03 - 1 clove garlic, minced
04 - 1 teaspoon Italian Seasoning
05 - 14 ounce jar pizza sauce
06 - ¾ cup water
07 - 3 cups rotini pasta, measure before cooking
08 - 2 cups mozzarella cheese, divided use
09 - 36 slices pepperoni, divided use

# Let's Cook!:

01 - Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain well.
02 - Brown ground beef with onion, garlic and Italian seasoning. Drain excess grease.
03 - Preheat oven to 350°F. In large bowl, mix pizza sauce and water.
04 - Add cooked pasta, 1½ cups mozzarella, cooked meat and 20 slices of pepperoni (cut in half) to sauce mixture. Stir well.
05 - Pour mixture into greased 9x9-inch baking dish. Top with remaining cheese and pepperoni slices.
06 - Cover with foil and bake at 350°F for 20 minutes. Remove foil and bake 5-10 minutes more until cheese is fully melted.

01 - Can substitute Italian sausage for ground beef
02 - Add other pizza toppings like mushrooms or bell peppers
03 - Great for using leftover pasta
