Brown Sugar Pineapple Wings Chicken (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Wings

01 - 2 pounds chicken wings

→ Sauce

02 - 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
03 - 1/2 cup pineapple juice
04 - 1/4 cup soy sauce
05 - 2 tablespoons honey
06 - 1 tablespoon minced garlic
07 - 1 teaspoon freshly grated ginger
08 - 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes

→ Thickener (optional)

09 - 1 tablespoon cornstarch
10 - 1 tablespoon water

→ Garnish

11 - 2 tablespoons chopped green onions
12 - 1 tablespoon sesame seeds

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
02 - In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine brown sugar, pineapple juice, soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, grated ginger, and red pepper flakes. Bring to a simmer and cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
03 - If a thicker sauce is desired, mix cornstarch and water in a small bowl to create a slurry. Whisk the slurry into the saucepan and cook for 1 to 2 minutes until the sauce thickens.
04 - Arrange chicken wings in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 30 minutes, flipping the wings halfway through the baking time.
05 - Brush the baked chicken wings generously with the prepared sauce. Return the wings to the oven and bake for an additional 10 minutes until sticky and caramelized.
06 - Remove wings from the oven and transfer to a serving platter. Sprinkle with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.

# Notes:

01 - For crispier skin, pat chicken wings dry before baking.
