In a medium bowl, blend cream cheese, dried beef, and chopped green onions until evenly combined.

Add Worcestershire sauce, onion salt, and if desired, monosodium glutamate. Mix thoroughly until smooth.

Form the mixture into a ball and refrigerate for a minimum of 30 minutes to allow it to firm up.

Prior to serving, roll the cheese ball in bacon bits and garnish with additional chopped green onions as preferred.
