Cream Jam Puff Trees (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Pastry

01 - 2 sheets thawed puff pastry

→ Filling

02 - 120 ml heavy cream or mascarpone cheese
03 - 60 ml raspberry or strawberry jam

→ Glaze and Garnish

04 - 1 egg
05 - 15 ml water
06 - Sesame seeds
07 - Fresh parsley or mint, finely chopped
08 - Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat oven to 190°C (375°F). Lightly roll out puff pastry sheets to ensure uniform thickness.
02 - Using star-shaped cutters or a sharp knife, cut four graduated star sizes from each pastry sheet: large (9–10 cm), medium (7.5 cm), small (5 cm), and very small (2.5–4 cm). Prepare four sets per tree.
03 - Build each sandwich by layering star, then spread a thin 30 ml layer of cream, followed by a small dollop of jam at the center, topped with another star layer.
04 - Beat egg with water and brush generously over assembled star sandwiches. Sprinkle sesame seeds evenly on top.
05 - Place star sandwiches on a parchment-lined tray and bake for 15–18 minutes until puffed and deep golden brown.
06 - Allow baked pieces to cool slightly, then stack on wooden skewers starting with the largest star at the base and finishing with the smallest on top.
07 - Sprinkle finely chopped fresh herbs over the assembled trees and dust with powdered sugar if desired.
