Spicy Honey Fried Chicken Sandwich (Printer-Friendly Version)

# What You'll Need:

→ For the Chicken

01 - 4 chicken breasts, boneless, skinless
02 - 2 cups buttermilk
03 - 2 tablespoons hot sauce (Frank's Red Hot preferred)
04 - 2 large eggs, beaten
05 - 1 cup flour
06 - 1 cup panko bread crumbs
07 - 1 tablespoon Slap Yo Momma seasoning
08 - 1/2 tablespoon seasoning salt
09 - 1 teaspoon paprika
10 - 1 teaspoon garlic powder
11 - ½ teaspoon baking powder
12 - 1/2 teaspoon pepper
13 - Vegetable oil for frying

→ Hot Honey Sauce

14 - ½ cup Frank's Red Hot Sauce
15 - ¼ cup lemon juice
16 - ¼ cup honey
17 - 2 tablespoons butter
18 - 1 teaspoon Slap Yo Momma seasoning

→ For Serving

19 - 4 burger buns
20 - Your favorite sandwich toppings (lettuce, pickles, etc.)

# Let's Cook!:

01 - Slice each chicken breast into 2 pieces and place in a bowl with buttermilk and hot sauce for 30 minutes
02 - Prepare two bowls: one with beaten eggs and another with a mixture of flour, panko bread crumbs and all the spices
03 - Coat each chicken piece first in flour mixture, then dip in eggs, and coat again in flour mixture. Arrange on a baking sheet
04 - Heat about two inches of oil in a large deep pan to 350°F. Fry chicken in small batches for 5-7 minutes until golden brown
05 - In a skillet over medium heat, melt butter. Add hot sauce, honey, lemon juice, and seasonings. Simmer for two minutes, stirring as sauce thickens
06 - Toss fried chicken in sauce or serve sauce on the side. Assemble sandwiches with your favorite toppings

01 - For extra crispy chicken, let it rest 5 minutes before tossing in sauce
