# Ingredients:

01 - 1 cup rolled oats
02 - 1 1/2 cups milk or plant-based milk
03 - 1 pinch salt

05 - 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
06 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

# Instructions:

01 - In a medium saucepan, combine rolled oats, milk or plant-based milk, and a pinch of salt. Bring to a gentle boil over medium heat while stirring occasionally.
02 - In a separate small bowl, whisk together egg, honey or maple syrup, and vanilla extract until fully blended.
03 - Once the oats have absorbed most of the liquid, about 5 to 7 minutes, lower the heat. Gradually pour the egg mixture into the saucepan, stirring constantly to prevent the egg from scrambling.
04 - Continue cooking over low heat for an additional 2 to 3 minutes, stirring continuously until the oatmeal becomes creamy and thickened.
05 - Remove from heat and divide into bowls. Top with fresh berries, sliced bananas, and chopped nuts as desired. Serve immediately.

01 - To prevent curdling, add the egg mixture slowly and stir constantly over low heat for a smooth, creamy texture.
