# Ingredients:

04 - 2 tbsp heavy cream (optional)

→ Strawberry Filling

05 - 1 cup fresh or frozen strawberries
06 - 2-3 tbsp sugar
07 - 1 tsp lemon juice
08 - 1 tsp cornstarch (optional)

→ Dough and Frying

09 - Refrigerated pie dough
10 - Neutral oil for frying
11 - Powdered sugar for dusting

# Instructions:

01 - Beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and optional heavy cream until smooth and creamy. Chill for at least 15 minutes.
02 - Simmer strawberries with sugar and lemon juice until berries break down. Mash slightly and add cornstarch if needed to thicken. Cool completely.
03 - Roll out refrigerated pie dough and cut into circles or rectangles.
04 - Place a spoonful of cheesecake filling in the center of each dough piece, top with strawberry filling, then fold and seal edges with a fork.
05 - Refrigerate filled pies for 20 to 30 minutes to firm up before frying.
06 - Heat neutral oil to 350°F (175°C) in a deep skillet or pot.
07 - Carefully place pies in hot oil and fry for 2 to 3 minutes, turning halfway, until golden brown and crisp. Drain on paper towels.
08 - Dust warm fried pies with powdered sugar before serving.
