01 - 1 pound lean ground beef
02 - 0.5 to 1 teaspoon garlic salt, to taste
03 - 2 cans (10.5 ounces each) beef consommé
04 - 2 cans (10.5 ounces each) French onion soup
05 - 0.75 cup water
06 - 2 cups uncooked long grain white rice
07 - 0.75 cup butter, sliced

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat oven to 425°F and spray a 9x13 inch baking dish with cooking spray.
02 - In a large skillet, cook and crumble lean ground beef with garlic salt until browned and fully cooked.
03 - In the prepared baking dish, mix uncooked rice with the cooked ground beef. Add French onion soups, beef consommé, and water, stirring until fully combined.
04 - Arrange butter slices evenly over the mixture in the baking dish.
05 - Cover the dish with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
06 - Remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 30 minutes. Optionally, add a cheesy or crunchy topping at this stage.
07 - Fluff the casserole with a fork and serve warm.
