Icy blended chocolate drink (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 4 ounces high quality semi-sweet chocolate
02 - 2 1/2 Tablespoons granulated sugar
03 - 1 Tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
04 - Pinch salt
05 - 1 1/2 cups milk
06 - 1 - 2 cups ice cubes
07 - Whipped cream for topping, optional

# Instructions:

01 - Chop the chocolate into small pieces and melt in the microwave on half power, stirring every 20 seconds, until melted.
02 - Stir in sugar, cocoa powder, and salt. Slowly stir in ½ cup milk, stirring until smooth.
03 - Add mixture to blender with remaining 1 cup milk and 1 cup of ice. Blend well until smooth. Add more ice if you want it thicker.
04 - Serve immediately, topped with whipped cream.

# Notes:

01 - Chocolate: I use Bakers or Ghirardelli baking bars, or a 12 oz package of high quality chocolate chips, like Ghirardelli or Guittard.
