01 -
In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, diced onion, egg, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until ingredients are just integrated.

                02 -
Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape each into an oval patty approximately 2 cm thick.

                03 -
Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear patties for 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and set aside.

                04 -
Reduce heat to medium. Add flour to the same skillet and cook, stirring, for 1–2 minutes until a light golden roux forms.

                05 -
Gradually whisk in beef broth, scraping up browned bits from the pan. Add Worcestershire sauce to taste. Bring to a simmer and cook for 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened.

                06 -
Return patties to the skillet, spoon gravy over the tops, and simmer over low heat for 5 minutes to meld flavors.

                07 -
Sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley and serve hot, accompanied by mashed potatoes or rice if desired.
