Crispy potato slices layered with cheese, bacon, and green onions offer a flavorful, comforting snack.

# Ingredients:

Potatoes

01 - 3-4 russet potatoes

Cheese

02 - 1-2 cups shredded cheese blend (white cheddar, yellow cheddar, cheddar jack)

Seasonings and Oils

03 - 3-4 tablespoons olive oil
04 - 1.5 tablespoons paprika
05 - 1 tablespoon onion powder
06 - 1 tablespoon garlic powder
07 - Salt and black pepper to taste

Fresh Vegetables

08 - 1/2 cup chopped green onion (3-4 stalks)

Meat

09 - 225 grams bacon (approximately half a standard pack)

Condiments

10 - Sour cream for serving

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat oven to 196°C (385°F). Line baking sheets with foil and arrange bacon slices so they do not overlap. Optionally twist bacon strips for extra crispness. Bake for 15-20 minutes until crispy. Chop into bite-sized pieces and set aside.
02 - Preheat oven to 204°C (400°F). Thoroughly wash and dry potatoes, then slice into 6 mm (1/4 inch) thick rounds. Place slices in a large bowl and toss evenly with olive oil, paprika, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper ensuring seasoning coats all slices.
03 - Arrange potato slices in a single layer on two baking sheets. Bake for 20 minutes, flip slices, then bake an additional 20 minutes until golden and tender.
04 - Increase oven to broil setting. In a cast iron skillet or oven-safe dish, layer baked potatoes, shredded cheese, bacon pieces, and chopped green onions. Repeat layers until all ingredients are used. Broil until cheese is melted and bubbly, approximately 3-5 minutes.
05 - Remove from oven, dollop with sour cream to taste, and serve immediately.

# Notes:

01 - Twisting the bacon before baking enhances crispiness and texture.
