Jalapeno Chicken Bell Peppers (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Main Protein

01 - 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch chunks

→ Marinade

02 - 2 tablespoons soy sauce
03 - 1 tablespoon sriracha
04 - 2 tablespoons white vinegar or apple cider vinegar

→ Stir Fry

05 - 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
06 - 1 teaspoon sesame oil
07 - 10 cloves garlic, finely chopped
08 - 2 to 4 jalapeño peppers, thinly sliced
09 - 2 bell peppers, cut into 1-inch pieces
10 - 1 tablespoon sugar
11 - 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
12 - 1 teaspoon garam masala or curry powder
13 - 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro leaves

# Instructions:

01 - Combine soy sauce, sriracha, and vinegar in a large mixing bowl. Add chicken pieces and mix thoroughly, massaging the marinade into the chicken. Set aside to marinate while preparing vegetables.
02 - Heat vegetable oil and sesame oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add sliced jalapeño and chopped garlic, sautéing for 30 seconds until fragrant.
03 - Add marinated chicken to the skillet and sear until golden brown, approximately 5 minutes. Stir in the sugar.
04 - Add bell peppers to the skillet with the cooked chicken. Continue cooking for 5 additional minutes over medium heat until chicken is thoroughly cooked but bell peppers remain crisp-tender. Avoid overcooking the peppers.
05 - Sprinkle in ground black pepper and garam masala. Mix well and fold in the chopped cilantro leaves. Serve immediately, garnished with additional fresh cilantro and jalapeño slices, if desired.

# Notes:

01 - For milder heat, remove seeds from jalapeños or use fewer peppers.
02 - Marinating the chicken enhances flavor and tenderness.
