Buttery Jalapeño Crescent Bites (Print Version)

Golden crescent rolls wrapped around spicy jalapeños, cream cheese blend, and bacon for a savory appetizer.

# Ingredients:

Dough

01 - 2 cans refrigerated crescent rolls (8 rolls per can)

Filling

02 - 8 medium jalapeños, halved, ribs and seeds removed
03 - 227 grams cream cheese, softened
04 - 60 grams sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
05 - 75 grams cooked bacon, crumbled

# Instructions:

01 - Set oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper to ensure easy cleanup.
02 - Combine softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar, and crumbled bacon in a medium bowl; mix until smooth and homogenous.
03 - Fill each jalapeño half with the cream cheese mixture, taking care not to overfill to prevent leaking.
04 - Unroll the crescent dough and place one stuffed jalapeño half on the wide end of each triangle. Roll toward the pointed end, folding sides slightly to seal.
05 - Arrange the rolls on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown and puffed.
06 - Allow the bites to cool for 5 minutes before serving. Serve warm, optionally with ranch dressing for dipping.

# Notes:

01 - Wear gloves when handling jalapeños to prevent skin irritation from pepper oils.
02 - Chill the cream cheese filling for 15-20 minutes prior to stuffing to reduce melting during baking.
03 - Pat jalapeños dry with a paper towel before filling to maintain dough crispness.
04 - Use a flat baking sheet instead of a casserole dish to promote even cooking and crispy bottoms.
