If using live lobster, bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the lobster for about 8-12 minutes until the shell turns bright red and the meat is opaque.

Remove the lobster from the pot and cool under running water. Once cooled, crack the shell and remove the meat. Chop into bite-sized pieces.

In a mixing bowl, combine the mayonnaise, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper. Adjust the seasoning according to your taste.

Gently fold the chopped lobster into the dressing, ensuring it’s evenly coated without breaking the lobster too much.

Heat a skillet over medium heat. Add 1 tablespoon of butter to the skillet. Toast the hot dog buns lightly until golden brown on both sides.

Place a few lettuce leaves (if using) inside each bun. Scoop a generous amount of the lobster mixture on top.
