01 -
Set oven to 190°C (375°F) and lightly grease an 8x8-inch baking dish.
02 -
In a large skillet over medium heat, cook diced bacon until crisp. Transfer bacon to a plate with a slotted spoon and reserve bacon fat in the skillet.
03 -
Add chopped onion and minced garlic to the bacon fat. Sauté until onion is translucent and aromatic.
04 -
Add ground beef to the skillet. Cook, breaking up the meat, until browned and fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
05 -
Return the cooked bacon to the beef mixture. Stir well and allow mixture to cool slightly.
06 -
In a large bowl, whisk eggs, heavy cream, yellow mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper until smooth.
07 -
Spread beef and bacon mixture evenly in the prepared baking dish. Top with 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese.
08 -
Pour egg mixture evenly over the contents in the baking dish, letting it settle into the meat.
09 -
Sprinkle remaining 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese over the top.
10 -
Bake for 25–30 minutes until set and cheese is golden and bubbling.
11 -
Remove casserole from oven and allow to rest for 5 minutes before serving.
12 -
Optionally, top with chopped green onions and diced tomatoes before serving.
