Melting Sweet Potatoes Maple Pecan (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Sweet Potatoes

01 - 2 pounds sweet potatoes, peeled and cut into 2.5 cm thick slices

→ Butter Mixture

02 - 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
03 - 1/2 teaspoon salt

→ Maple-Pecan Sauce

04 - 120 ml pure maple syrup
05 - 60 g pecans, coarsely chopped

# Instructions:

01 - Preheat oven to 220°C. Prepare a roasting pan.
02 - Scatter sweet potato slices on the roasting pan in a single layer, ensuring pieces do not touch.
03 - Drizzle melted butter over the sweet potatoes. Sprinkle salt evenly. Toss to coat, then rearrange so slices remain in a single, non-overlapping layer.
04 - Roast sweet potatoes for 20 minutes.
05 - Using tongs, flip each slice. Roast for an additional 20 minutes, or until golden brown, crisped on the edges, and tender inside.
06 - In a small saucepan, bring maple syrup to a steady boil. Stir in pecans and return to a boil. Cook for 1 minute, then remove from the heat.
07 - Transfer sweet potatoes to a serving platter. Drizzle maple-pecan sauce over the top and serve immediately.

# Notes:

01 - To enhance nutty aroma, briefly toast pecans in a dry pan before adding to the maple syrup.
