Pan Fried Caramelized Peaches (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 4 fresh peaches
02 - 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
03 - 2 tablespoons brown sugar, adjust to taste
04 - 0.5 teaspoon ground cinnamon
05 - 0.25 teaspoon ground ginger
06 - A pinch of salt

# Instructions:

01 - Slice each peach in half vertically and remove the pit.
02 - Melt unsalted butter in a flat-based pan over medium heat. Add brown sugar, cinnamon, ginger powder, and a pinch of salt. Stir until combined.
03 - Arrange peaches cut-side down in the pan. Cook for 5 to 7 minutes, allowing the cut side to brown and caramelize.
04 - Carefully turn each peach over and continue cooking the other side for 2 to 3 minutes until warmed through.
05 - Serve hot as is, or accompany with ice cream, yogurt, pancakes, or preferred accompaniments.

# Notes:

01 - Try substituting peaches with other firm fruits such as nectarines, plums, or apples for variation.
02 - For a vegan option, use coconut oil or plant-based butter instead of dairy butter.
03 - Thicker peach slices retain structure better during pan-frying; avoid slicing too thin.
04 - To enhance flavor, add ground nutmeg, cloves, or a splash of vanilla extract.
05 - Maple syrup, honey, palm sugar, white sugar, or dark brown sugar can be used as alternate sweeteners.
06 - Omit additional salt if using salted butter.
07 - For a mildly smoky flavor, increase cook time for darker caramelized surfaces.
08 - A grill pan can be used to impart subtle char marks.
