Peanut Butter Rice Krispies (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Wet Ingredients

01 - 1 cup creamy peanut butter
02 - 1 cup light corn syrup or honey

→ Sweeteners

03 - 1 cup granulated sugar

→ Cereals and Mix-ins

04 - 5 to 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
05 - ½ cup mini semisweet chocolate chips
06 - ½ cup M&M's candy

# Instructions:

01 - In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine peanut butter, corn syrup (or honey), and sugar. Stir continuously until the mixture begins to bubble, approximately 4 to 5 minutes, taking care not to bring it to a boil.
02 - Pour the warm peanut butter syrup over the Rice Krispies in a large mixing bowl. Stir thoroughly to ensure each piece is evenly coated, about 2 to 3 minutes.
03 - Transfer the mixture to a parchment-lined baking sheet. Using lightly greased hands or a spatula, press the mixture into clusters or flatten into an even layer for bar shapes. This step takes approximately 3 minutes.
04 - Sprinkle mini chocolate chips and M&M's over the top while the mixture is still warm. Gently press them into the surface to ensure adherence, taking about 2 minutes.
05 - Allow the treats to cool at room temperature until firm, generally 20 to 30 minutes, before cutting or serving.

# Notes:

01 - Lightly grease hands or utensils to facilitate shaping and prevent sticking.
02 - Adjust M&M’s quantity as desired to suit sweetness preference.
