Slow Cooker Honey Butter Chicken (Print Version)

Tender chicken slow-cooked in honey and butter, mixed with pasta for a creamy, flavorful dish.

# Ingredients:

Protein

01 - 1.5 to 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts

Sweetener

02 - 1/3 cup honey

Dairy

03 - 1/4 cup unsalted butter (half stick), cut into pieces

Seasoning

04 - 1 packet (about 1 ounce) dry ranch seasoning mix
05 - Salt to taste (optional)
06 - Black pepper to taste (optional)

Pasta

07 - 8 ounces dry pasta (wide egg noodles or short pasta such as rotini or penne)
08 - 1/4 cup reserved pasta cooking water (optional)

# Instructions:

01 - Place chicken breasts in a single layer at the bottom of the slow cooker, allowing slight overlap if necessary.
02 - Drizzle honey evenly over the chicken pieces, then scatter butter pieces on top.
03 - Sprinkle the dry ranch seasoning mix uniformly over the chicken and butter.
04 - Cover and cook on LOW for 4 to 6 hours or on HIGH for 2½ to 3½ hours until chicken is tender and shreds easily with a fork.
05 - About 20 minutes before serving, bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook pasta until just al dente. Reserve 1/4 cup cooking water, then drain.
06 - Shred chicken in the slow cooker using two forks. Stir to combine with sauce, adding reserved pasta water as needed to achieve a loose, creamy consistency.
07 - Add drained pasta to the slow cooker and gently toss to coat noodles evenly with the honey butter chicken sauce.
08 - Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and black pepper if desired. Serve warm with extra sauce spooned over portions.

# Notes:

01 - Use reserved pasta water to loosen the sauce for better texture and creaminess.
