01 -
Rinse potatoes thoroughly under cool running water and scrub to remove dirt. Dry with a clean towel and cut into evenly sized chunks or quarters to ensure uniform cooking.
02 -
Lightly coat the inside of the slow cooker with cooking spray or butter for easier cleanup. Add the cut potatoes and spread evenly.
03 -
Melt butter in a microwave-safe bowl or small saucepan until liquefied. Stir in dry onion soup seasoning until well combined and slightly thickened.
04 -
Drizzle the seasoned butter mixture evenly over the potatoes in the slow cooker. Toss gently with a spoon or hands until all pieces are glossy and coated with seasoning.
05 -
Cover and cook on LOW for 4 to 5 hours or HIGH for 2 to 3 hours until potatoes are tender and easily pierced with a fork. Stir gently halfway through cooking to redistribute seasoning.
06 -
Turn off slow cooker once potatoes are tender. Stir to lift flavorful bits from the bottom. Transfer to a serving dish, spoon butter sauce over top, and serve warm.
