Snickers Apple Caramel Salad (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 3.4 ounces instant vanilla pudding mix
02 - 3/4 cup whole milk
03 - 8 ounces Cool Whip or 1 cup heavy whipping cream, beaten to stiff peaks
04 - 6 Granny Smith apples, divided; reserve 1 for garnish
05 - 6 full-size Snickers bars, divided; reserve 1 for garnish
06 - 1/4 cup caramel sauce, optional

# Instructions:

01 - In a large bowl, whisk together the instant vanilla pudding mix and whole milk until smooth and creamy. Gently fold in the whipped topping or freshly whipped cream until fully incorporated.
02 - Core and chop 5 of the Granny Smith apples into bite-sized pieces. If preparing ahead, toss apple pieces with a little lemon juice or 7-Up to prevent browning, then pat dry before use.
03 - Chop 5 of the Snickers bars into small bite-sized pieces. Reserve 1 bar for garnish.
04 - Fold the chopped apples and Snickers pieces into the pudding mixture until evenly distributed. Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.
05 - Just before serving, chop the reserved apple and Snickers bar. Scatter over the top of the salad and drizzle with caramel sauce if desired.

# Notes:

01 - If using heavy whipping cream instead of whipped topping, beat until stiff peaks form before folding in.
02 - For best texture, add garnishes and caramel sauce just before serving.
