Creamy Beef Noodle Casserole (Printer-Friendly Version)

# What You'll Need:

01 - 1 lb lean ground beef
02 - ½ yellow onion, chopped
03 - 2 cloves garlic, minced

→ Sauce and Seasonings

04 - 2 (15 oz) cans tomato sauce
05 - 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
06 - Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

→ Pasta and Dairy

07 - 8 oz egg noodles
08 - 1 cup sour cream
09 - 1 cup cottage cheese
10 - 1 cup cheddar cheese, grated

# Let's Cook!:

01 - Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with nonstick spray.
02 - Cook ground beef and onion in large skillet over medium-high heat until beef is browned, about 10 minutes. Add garlic and cook 1 minute more.
03 - Stir in tomato sauce and Italian seasoning. Simmer 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Season with salt and pepper.
04 - Cook egg noodles in salted water according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
05 - Combine sour cream and cottage cheese in large bowl. Add cooked noodles, season with salt and pepper, and stir until combined.
06 - Layer half the noodle mixture in baking dish, top with half the meat sauce. Repeat layers. Sprinkle with cheddar cheese.
