Cook egg noodles in salted water according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

Combine sour cream and cottage cheese in large bowl. Add cooked noodles, season with salt and pepper, and stir until combined.

Layer half the noodle mixture in baking dish, top with half the meat sauce. Repeat layers. Sprinkle with cheddar cheese.
