02 - 20 small jalapeño slices, seeds removed
03 - 1 cup cream cheese, softened (approx. 225 g)
04 - 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese (approx. 56 g)
05 - 10 slices bacon, cut in half

Seasonings

06 - 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
07 - 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
08 - 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Extras

09 - Toothpicks for securing bites

# Instructions:

01 - Set the oven temperature to 375°F (190°C) and prepare for baking.
02 - Combine cream cheese, shredded cheddar, garlic powder, smoked paprika, and black pepper in a mixing bowl until smooth and homogenous.
03 - Cut the smoked sausage into bite-sized pieces, then make a small slit in each piece without slicing completely through to form a pocket.
04 - Fill each sausage pocket with the cheese mixture and insert a jalapeño slice inside.
05 - Wrap each stuffed sausage piece with half a slice of bacon and secure tightly using a toothpick.
06 - Place the prepared bites on a foil-lined baking sheet or wire rack and bake for 20 to 25 minutes until the bacon is golden and crisp.
07 - Remove from oven, allow to cool slightly, then serve warm.

# Notes:

01 - For even cooking and crispier bacon, use a wire rack on the baking sheet to allow air circulation.
02 - To reduce spice, omit jalapeño slices or substitute with mild pepper.
