Mediterranean Olive Oil Dip (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Dip Base

01 - 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
02 - 2 cloves garlic, minced

→ Herbs and Seasonings

03 - 1 teaspoon dried oregano
04 - 1 teaspoon dried basil
05 - 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
06 - 1/2 teaspoon dried rosemary
07 - 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
08 - Salt, to taste
09 - Black pepper, to taste

# Instructions:

01 - In a small bowl, combine extra virgin olive oil and minced garlic with the dried oregano, basil, thyme, rosemary, and red pepper flakes. Add salt and black pepper to taste.
02 - Stir thoroughly until the seasonings are uniformly distributed throughout the oil.
03 - Cover the bowl and allow the mixture to rest at room temperature for at least 1 hour to enable the flavors to meld.
04 - Present the olive oil dip alongside fresh bread, crackers, or sliced vegetables for dipping.

# Notes:

01 - For additional brightness, incorporate a splash of balsamic vinegar or lemon juice if desired.
02 - The dip may be prepared in advance and stored in the refrigerator for several days; allow it to reach room temperature before serving.
