Blueberry Basil Lemonade (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Blueberry Basil Lemonade Mix

01 - 500 ml cold sparkling or regular water
02 - 240 ml lemon juice (squeezed fresh)
03 - 18 big basil leaves, washed
04 - 150 g fresh blueberries
05 - 200 g white sugar
06 - 500 ml water

# Instructions:

01 - Dump the blueberries, sugar, and water into your saucepan. Put it over medium-high heat, let it bubble up. Go for about 5 minutes, till you see the berries pop and all the sugar is gone. Smash the berries a bit to let their color and juice out.
02 - Turn off the stove, toss in the basil, give it a stir, throw on a lid. Let it hang out for 20 minutes so the basil really soaks in.
03 - Pour your syrupy mix through a mesh strainer into a pitcher or bowl. Press hard to get every last bit of flavor and color. Chuck whatever’s left behind.
04 - Add your basil-blueberry syrup, lemon juice, and that chilled water right into a big pitcher. Mix it up really well.
05 - Pour over lots of ice. Toss in extra berries, basil, or lemon slices if you want to dress it up. Enjoy!

# Notes:

01 - Keep leftovers in the fridge with a lid for 3 days. If you want that fizz, add the sparkling water at the last minute.
