01 -
Start by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper
02 -
In a medium saucepan over low heat, melt the butter and semi-sweet chocolate chips together, stirring until smooth. Remove from heat and let cool slightly
03 -
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined. Stir in the melted chocolate mixture until smooth
04 -
In another bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined
05 -
Chill the dough in the refrigerator for about 10-15 minutes to make it easier to handle
06 -
Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, scoop out a portion of dough and flatten it slightly in your palm. Place a few chocolate chips in the center and fold the dough around the chips to seal, rolling it into a ball. Place on the prepared baking sheet
07 -
Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are set but the centers are still soft. Be careful not to overbake!
08 -
Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely
