Quick homemade bread dough (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 1 packet instant yeast (2 1/4 tsp)
02 - 1 tbsp granulated sugar
03 - 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
04 - 1 cup warm water (110°F)
05 - 1 tsp salt
06 - 2 1/2 cups bread flour
07 - 1 cup whole wheat flour

# Instructions:

01 - In a large bowl, whisk together the yeast, sugar, olive oil, and warm water. Let mixture sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
02 - In a separate bowl, stir together the bread flour, whole wheat flour and salt.
03 - Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until combined. Knead dough by hand for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic, adding more bread flour 1 tbsp at a time if needed to reduce stickiness.
04 - Cover bowl with a damp towel and let dough rest for 10 minutes. Dough is now ready to use.
05 - Shape as desired for baking - loaf pan, rolls, pizza crust, etc. Bake as recipe directs.

# Notes:

01 - The dough can be used right away but has the best flavor when allowed to rise for at least 10 minutes.
02 - For faster rising, use very warm water (110°F) when mixing.
03 - This versatile dough can be used for bread loaves, dinner rolls, pizza crust, or flatbreads.
