Classic Seafoam Frosting (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ For the Frosting

01 - 2 large egg whites, unbeaten
02 - 1 ½ cups brown sugar, firmly packed
03 - ⅓ cup cold water
04 - ¼ teaspoon cream of tartar
05 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

# Instructions:

01 - Mix egg whites, brown sugar, water and cream of tartar in the top of a double boiler
02 - Place over boiling water and beat constantly until mixture holds a peak, about 7-10 minutes
03 - Remove from heat. Add vanilla and beat until thick enough to spread

# Notes:

01 - Makes 5-6 cups of frosting
02 - Also known as 7-minute frosting
03 - Should be used fresh for best texture
