Smoky Cheddar Pasta (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

01 - 12 oz penne or rotini pasta
02 - 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
03 - 2 cloves garlic, chopped
04 - 1 lb smoked sausage, sliced
05 - 1 small onion, chopped
06 - 4 cups chicken broth
07 - Salt and pepper to your liking
08 - 1 cup heavy cream
09 - 1 lb chicken breast, cut into chunks
10 - 1 packet ranch seasoning mix
11 - 2 tbsp olive oil
12 - Chopped parsley for topping (optional)

# Instructions:

01 - Take the pot off the heat and mix in the cheddar until it's smooth and melty.
02 - Try it out and add salt or pepper if you want. Sprinkle parsley on top if you like and serve it while it's hot.
03 - Pour in the chicken broth, cream, ranch mix, and pasta. Bring everything to a boil, then turn the heat down. Cover and let it simmer for 10-12 minutes, stirring once in a while, until pasta's soft.
04 - Warm up olive oil in a big pot on medium. Add the chicken and sausage, cook till the chicken's pretty brown, about 5 to 7 minutes. Toss in onion and garlic, cook for 2 to 3 minutes until they soften.

# Notes:

01 - This meal can stand on its own, but adding some sides will make it even better.
